Salebarn
The Stokman Salebarn venue is the perfect location for weddings, corporate functions or private gatherings. Nestled on the edge of our working Angus cattle farm and beside the steaming warm waters of Lake Ohakuri, the backdrop is simply stunning.
The venue has a large indoor/outdoor area with ample room for seated dining and a dance floor, as well as a grassed lawn.
Nobody likes to be rushed so we offer setup from 10am the day prior, and you have until 4pm the following day to clean up and relax.
This incredibly unique location is hired as a venue only, with full kitchen, bathrooms and parking for both buses and private cars.
The maximum guests allowed is 120, including all staff.

The Squeeze Riverjet
The thrills of a jet boat ride, the serenity of New Zealand’s untouched nature, the adventure of squeezing through tight rock passages and the refreshment of dipping in a mystical hot spring waterfall.
Paradise
Bask in the hot waters of Paradise. On the water’s edge at The Stokman you’ll find this incredible natural wonderland in Lake Ohakuri. The perfect place to relax and unwind.
Game Hunting
We host a large pheasant reserve on the property and at times allow hunters to stay and partake in recreational game bird shooting. Please contact us for further information.
Accommodation
Stay
Just a stone’s throw from the Stokman Salebarn venue is our accommodation. We currently have a rustic hut that sleeps four in bunks and also has a double fold-out-bed. The outdoor deck is covered and generous enough for dining and staying cool in the summer months.
For those who prefer a little luxury, we have our new pod accommodation — a self contained double pod with en-suite bathroom and a second pod that contains two king single beds. These two pods have access to a covered outdoor kitchen, complete with BBQ and outdoor table.
